The Order of 2012
The Order of 2012 is an initiative of World Convention and is a donor recognition society that celebrates Friends and Churches who will partner with the ministry of World Convention to build fellowship, understanding and common purpose within the global Stone-Campbell Movement.
Members of The Order of 2012 are people who value World Convention's day-to-day ministry of connecting everywhere, everyday and the quadrennial conventions known as Global Gatherings.
The Order of 2012 takes its name from the eighteenth Global Gathering of the World Convention to be held in the beautiful and modern city Goiania, Brazil (population about 1.3 million) in the summer of 2012!
In 80 years of bringing together the Stone-Campbell Movement family this will be our first convention in South America and our first in a Portuguese speaking nation! We are already anticipating that this will be a phenomenal Gathering like no other in the history of World Convention!
MEMBERSHIP in the Order of 2012 is composed of those Friends and Churches who prayerfully and financially commit to involvement in the ministry on a consistent basis with a monthly gift of $20.12. These gifts between 2009 and 2012 will both under gird the daily ministry and help plan for Goiania in 2012.
